Differences from original[]
Unlike many other dubs, the Russian Dub is mostly faithful to the source material, making little to no changes. However, there are some clear distinctions:
- The name "Pomni" appeared peculiar to Russian viewers. Mainly because her name sounds like the Russian imperative verb "Помнить" (to remember/to not forget). This led to many different theories, including what it is that Pomni must remember/must not forget.
- Unlike in the original, Zooble is referred as "she/her" instead of "they/them" in the Russian dub. This change was made because in the Russian language, "they/them" usually refers to multiple people.
- The aforementioned reason for this change was explained and justified by the director of the Russian dub Max Mann. [1]
- Bubble is voiced by a male voice, Ivan Shukhin, because Bubble is canonically male.
- Gloink Queen is voiced by a female voice, Daria Karapuzova, because Gloink Queen is canonically female.
- Russian dub generally does a better job at sound design by adding echoes, which adds a volume to sound rather than just sounding plain.
- Up to episode 3 of the Netflix release Pomni is falsely referred to as "Pomini" for some reason. This mistake was fixed in credits of 4th episode.
PILOT[]
- Despite Pomni's swearing being censored, Russian viewers can still distinguish a majority of words. This particular scene became a meme in the Russian TADC community.
- In the Netflix release, instead of Daria Karapuzova, the proper VA for Gloink Queen, the Russian VA for Gloink Queen is currently falsefully credited as Svetlana Amanova, which is Zooble's Russian VA.
Candy Carrier Chaos![]
- During the chase scene, Jax says this: "Так, Гэнгл. Как только мы их догоним, я прыгну к ним, заберусь внутрь и буду шмалять, пока их родная мать не узнает." (So, Gangle. Once we catch them, I shall jump into their truck, crawl inside and I will shoot them down until their own mother will not recognize them.) This is a simple phrase, that presumably indirectly refers to Gummigoo's mother.
- In original Pomni says: "Jax, you
!". In Russian, Pomni says: "Джекс, ты гон!", which can be translated as: "Jax, you are a scumbag." - During the Fudge Monster scene, Jax says: "Одна плавучая цистерна отделяет нас от участи жирного пацана из Вилли-Вонки." (We’re one tanker away from the fate of the fat kid from Willy Wonka.) This change was made knowing that Russian viewers probably wouldn't understand the reference of "being Augustus Glooped".
- Instead "We got fudged.", Max says: "Всё пошло не по плану." (Everything went off the plan.)
- It is a reference to a popular Soviet singer Yegor Letov and his song "Everything Is Going According To The Plan."
The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor[]
- Instead of "inconvenient lore placement", Kinger says "inconvenient backstory placement".
- Instead of Greek tragedy, Martha Mildenhall says that her husband could turn a 57-second story into "War and Peace". This is a reference to the novel of the same name by Lev Tolstoi, implying the fact that its length consists of 4 volumes, which can be challenging for a beginning reader.
- When in the original dub, Kinger says that he studied computer science for 7 years, in the Russian version it was changed to 4 years.
- Additionally, Russian dub made a mistake: Instead of saying: "She was really into entomology." (Study of the insects), the Russian Kinger says:" She was really into etymology." (Study of word origins).
- Later, on 08.10.24, a new iteration of dub appeared, which fixed both of these mistakes.
- The Russian VA of Kinger, Ivan Shukhin, who also worked on translation and voice direction, revealed, that this mistake was a miscommunication between Glitch Productions and the voiceover studio, NDRecords Production. He said, that the team did not receive a scenario for this episode in time and translation was done aurally. By mistake, the dubbing team assumed, that Kinger said "etymology" instead of "entomology" [2].
Fast Food Masquerade[]
- When Caine reads Zooble's suggestion and zips his mouth, voice of the Caine can be heard clearly , unlike in other dubs , where his voice during this moment is muffled.
- The meme phrase "You can shut up now!" was changed to "Не бухти на бугра!" ("Don't mess with Cainooster!"). This is a reference to the quote of Boog the Bear:" Don't mess with the Boogster." from the movie "Open Season" (2006).
- Instead of saying "This is really weird...", Jax says "Это чё щас было?" ("Da hell was that?").
- In the Russian dub, the Gloink Queen's children's names are Gorrister, Benny, and Nimdok. This is a reference to three of the five main characters from the book I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream (1967), the story that was also part of the inspiration for the Digital Circus series.
- In the Russian Dub Horseradish Sauce is named "Ranch Sauce", which is a a savory, creamy American salad dressing usually made from buttermilk, salt, garlic, onion, black pepper, and herbs mixed into a sauce.
- Nevertheless, the play of words between "Horse" and "Horseradish" in Russian Dub is still there. Instead of "I miss my horses...", Ragatha said that she misses her Rancho: a farming place, where not only horses can be kept there, but poultry and cattle too.
- Instead of saying "You're drunk, or something.", Jax says "Ты пьяна, иди домой." ("You're drunk, go home to sleep").
- This is the first episode, that did not introduce dubbing of credits.
A Very Special Digital Circus Song[]
- The repetition of "Kinger/Singer/Zinger" was not adapted to keep the rhyme of the song.
- Instead of "Crikey!", Gummigoo says "Иисусе!", which can be translated as "Jesus Christ!" or "Jesus Christ Almighty!"

- The team behind the Russian dub of The Amazing Digital Circus is the same as behind the Russian dub of Murder Drones, having the most cast members that appear in both shows:

- A meme about "Skibidi Sigmas", that had occurred in Polish dub of this show, was dubbed by Max Mann, a Russian VA of Jax and Caine. [4]
