Gummigoo is a supporting character in The Amazing Digital Circus. He is an NPC in the form of a gummy crocodile. He makes his debut in the episode Candy Carrier Chaos! as its main antagonist up until his redemption, and reappears as a minor character in Fast Food Masquerade. He is the leader of the three crocodile bandits, along with Max and Chad. He is voiced by Jack Hawkins.
Appearance[]
Gummigoo is a yellow-fading-into-green gummy crocodile with a white underbelly, white eyes and a brown cowboy-looking hat. He has a slim build, and rounded spines going down his back.
Like his friends, Gummigoo speaks with an Australian accent.
Personality[]
Gummigoo demonstrates his proficiency as a strategist, adeptly planning for complex heists and missions. Despite his initial antagonistic demeanor, he exhibits emotional depth; after falling into the Test Level, he discovers that he is an "NPC" with fake memories, subsequently grappling with existential anxiety and an eagerness to understand the unknown. Through the development of his relationship with Pomni where she comes to understand his hopelessness, he evolves from a seemingly antagonistic figure to a well-intentioned individual, illustrating his capacity for growth and redemption.
Biography[]
"Candy Carrier Chaos!" (Episode 2)[]
Gummigoo, alongside Max and Chad stole the Candy Canyon Kingdom's maple syrup to save an unnamed village that he inhabited with the goal to bring it back and help his mom. After clipping through the ground due to the bandit's truck interacting with the faulty collision and falling out of the Map, he goes through an existential crisis after seeing his own model and learning that he is an NPC. After he and Pomni clip back into bounds and reunite with their respective friends, he was convinced by Pomni to try living in the Circus. Unfortunately, due to being an NPC, this was short-lived as he was almost immediately exploded into confetti by Caine, making Pomni despair.
"Fast Food Masquerade" (Episode 4)[]
He returns in Fast Food Masquerade, however, due to him being an NPC, he has completely forgotten about his relationship with Pomni, but still wishes her a good day at the end. He is also no longer criminal nor antagonistic since this adventure simply has him as a normal customer at Spudsy's.
Trivia[]
- Gummigoo, along with Pomni, are the only two characters that have discovered the Test Level.
- Similar to Pomni, Gummigoo's eyes change when under stress or panicking, growing from solid white circles into ring shapes.
- His puke texture, along with Pomni, uses the same texture as the Metal Cap from Super Mario 64.
- This may imply that all characters in the digital circus puke with the same texture.
- Gummigoo's name is misspelled as "Gumigoo" in the ending credits of Candy Carrier Chaos!.
- This was corrected in Fast Food Masquerade.
- Gummigoo is temporarily revived in A Very Special Digital Circus Song as a plushie like the main characters. He now seems to have no personality beyond saying stereotypical Australian words and phrases like "crikey" and "down under" before glitching and exploding again - which further traumatizes Pomni. Caine also makes it clear that his for-sale keychain is not edible.
- His appearance is based on that of a real gummy crocodile.[1]
- Gummigoo was briefly alluded in The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor. Pomni asked Caine to assure her if the NPCs aren't going to become self-aware, not wanting to go through what happened with Gummigoo due to him exploding.
